Food Taste Based On Preference
Traditionally food is just taken for the sake of satisfaction. The whole purpose is to fill the stomach and to keep you going. Scientifically the body needs nutrients for the standard functions to take place in the body. Health wise food is made to maintain the body healthy and free from diseases.
According to sense the sensation of taste differs hence influence in food selection. People’s senses are different hence the way one will taste saltiness will be different to the way another person will taste it.
To some people taste will solely be based on pleasure. They will prefer food that has pleasant taste than other foods. People who chose taste basing on pleasure will tend to like sweet food rather than our foods.

For instance, meat products may taste better than vegetables. Because a persona has chosen to avoid meat products in their diet they might opt for vegetables, not because of taste but being obliged by diet. For that reason, we might say that food selection is not a matter of taste but preference.
Diet is mostly considered by those who are serious about health. They will want to choose food according to nutritional value. For that reason, their choice of taste is not a preference but wholly about nutritional content. We may enhance food taste of spices but to those considering nutrition, they will want.
Health will be even a priority regardless of food being sour, bitter, sweet and salt. However, people are not limited to those.
Very many aspects now determine food preference. People engineer their diets to achieve individual goals. People are also more concerned about nutrition more than just the taste of food. Today people will rarely choose food taste just form a preference. Diet nutrition texture and taste are just some of the things that determine food choice.
